Overview

Shift5 hardware (pictured) is installed on vehicles such as military aircraft and commercial airplanes to mine critical operational data. A web-based UI was needed to translate this raw data into actionable insights, allowing users to monitor aircraft health, investigate alerts, and take necessary actions — including categorizing anomalies, acknowledging alerts, and even grounding fleets if necessary.

As the primary UX designer, I was responsible for user research, wireframing, UX flow design, and creating high-fidelity UI mockups. I worked closely with developers to bring the product to life and iteratively improved the application based on user feedback.
